Director-General Intermon Oxfam. Ariane Arpa is a Graduate in Political Sciences
and International Relations and in Arab Philology. She started her
professional career in 1988 in a private company as organisational and management
consultant. Later
on, she was in charge of reinsurance and held the position of director respectively
in two important insurance companies.
Her professional path has given her the opportunity to gain in-depth
knowledge of the Magreb and Middle East countries, which she visited
very frequently. Since her joining Intermˆ„n Oxfam, she also visited
various African, Asian and Latin-American countries to get to know first-hand
